Job Description
The Data Science team is looking for a senior Software Engineer to act as a bridge between the Data Science and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation on mathematics and experience in C# development.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish coding principles in C# for runtime efficiency and technical scalability.
- Maintain and refactor the Data Science .NET model repository.
- Create, populate and maintain SQL databases.
- Design and implement services as microservices that will be part of a bigger application stack.
- Ability to understand the underlying maths of the pricing models.
- Report to the Director of Data Science on workflow and share findings with the Data Science team.
- Collaborate closely with other Engineering teams.
Qualifications
Essential
- A postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or other quantitative field.
- 3+ years of working as a Software Engineer with extensive experience in C#.
- Experience with CRUD actions on various data sources (SQL, NO-SQL, streaming or data-lake).
- Be knowledgeable on RESTful APIs and Kafka topics to consume and produce data from .NET microservices.
- Have experience with automated build pipelines for .NET.
- Experience with version control platforms (e.g. GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket etc.).
Desirable
- Good grasp of various modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Time-Series Analysis etc.)
- Basic Python skills (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, Keras, PyTorch SciPy etc.).
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- A good understanding of betting concepts and markets.

- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- You must have a strong work ethic and outstanding interpersonal skills.
- You must be self-motivated, a team-player and a creative thinker.
