We are seeking an Associate Director, Data Strategy to join our growing team. An Associate Director acts as a trusted client partner and leads data and analytics teams to drive results for clients. This role involves embracing and evangelizing new marketing, data, and analytics technologies, as well as working directly with clients to gain understanding of their business objectives, challenges, and resources to recommend creative solutions that deliver value.
Associate Directors have deep strategic understanding of martech data ecosystems, and are able to pinpoint areas of opportunity to unlock value within CDPs, marketing automation platforms, marketing data warehouses, modeling, business intelligence, ETL or data collection efficiencies. Associate Directors are also able to translate strategies into activities, ensuring organizations are able to orchestrate recommendations effectively. This often includes diving deep into tactic strategies, audience strategies, and campaign briefs to increase client ROI from data and marketing technologies.
Associate Directors possess strong strong communication, project management, and thought leadership skills and demonstrate a high degree of comfort with influencing and communicating a point of view to client leadership. This role will be highly cross-functional and interface with Data and Analytics crafts, Marketing, Experience Design, and Technology teams.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional engagements and ensure cohesive delivery across competencies
- Conduct data strategy programming, including assessing data signals, KPI setting, ecosystem and readiness assessments, co-innovation studio sessions, roadmapping deliverables, and value creation cycles
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements, translate business requirements into technology use cases, and prioritize use cases into a strategic roadmap focused on deriving value from data
- Assess client data maturity, understand stakeholder needs, facilitate prioritization, and coordinate a strategic data and agile roadmap of program activities
- Provide perspectives on necessary data advancement recommendations, including data warehousing, modeling, engineering, business intelligence, or other data activities to support business outcomes
- Provide perspective on marketing orchestration automation; develop campaign/program briefs, tactic briefs, and ROI analysis
- Partner with delivery pods (channel owners, competencies, functional teams) to harmonize activities and deliverables across the co-innovation program, translate business objectives into activities and marketing objectives, ideate on innovation, outline tactics necessary to achieve results
- Provide oversight to data and analytics team members on complex, tier 1 accounts
- Use results to communicate program success and persuade account and client stakeholders for expansion and investment, including opportunities for accelerator engagements
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in digital, consulting, and/or analytics
- Functional expertise with digital analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, CJA, Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with CRO solutions (Adobe Target, Interaction Studio)
- Familiarity with CRM and Orchestration Solutions (Salesforce, AJO, Braze) and other marketing technologies
- Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar; SQL a plus
- Familiarity in cloud technologies (Snowflake, AWS, Azure) and their capabilities as they relate to customer, digital, and operational data and digital analytics
- Skills and experience training and presenting on activation, analytics, and personalization topics
